Tuesday's Pre-Market

The market is poised to open higher today. Could it be the continuation from yesterday's uptick? Or lame inflation data. Anyway we need to make sure the gain does not vaporize like yesterday. Acoording to the government released data: Total PPI rose a smaller than expected 0.1% vs consensus 0.4% in July, while the more closely watched core rate (ex-food and energy) actually fell 0.3% vs. consensus 0.2%. August NY Empire State Index checked in at lower than expected 10.3 vs. consensus 14.8.
