Thursday Stocks to Watch

The market recovered from this morning losses. The FED decision on interest rate will be announced around 2:15 pm. It is expected to leave the rate the same.
If no other unexpected statement coming from the FED, I expect the market will advance further in the afternoon. If the market is in rally mode, pick the stock with strong momentum, small caps like (SMTX) and (CRNT), big caps like (GOOG) and (MDR). (AAPL) will launch the iPhone Friday. I expect the market will move as the launch of iPhone came to fruition.

Small Worth Considering ( I like small cap stocks):
(SMTX) - favor of mine for a while now
(CRNT) - Broke out with strong volume
(CMTL) - New contract
(ATRO) - New high with good volume

SMTX on the Move

Even though the market is sinking in the afternoon, (SMTX) is still attacking the new 52-week high with higher volume. Stay with the winner.

What's Ahead for Stocks Next Week

The market had some minor corrections last week started last Wednesday. Volume has picked up last Friday. We will have to see how well the market handles itself in the coming weeks. Wednesday Stocks to Watch

The market is trading lower with the help of higher bond yields. Higher bond yield will imply higher borrowing cost to the consumers and corporations. It used to be the issue with slowing economy, but it has been the higher interest rates. What else the case is, I do think the bull market is still intact. Wait for pullbacks and buy more stock leaders.

Stocks worth considering:
(SMTX) - still up on a down market
(BWLD) - up another $1 after yesterday's $4 move
(GTLS) - massive volume after upgrade

Tuesday Stocks to Watch

The market is trading relatively flat again like the Monday session. Volume has increased as compared to yesterday's volume. It started to downside, but it quickly recovered in the afternoon. A very good sign for the bull. Use the pullback as an opportunity to buy more strong stocks. Hold the winners and sell the losers in a market like we have now.

Stocks Worth Considering:
(BWLD) - Up strong after several weeks of consolidation to a 52-week high.
(SMTX) - Up with strong volume one step at a time. Very solid advance. Has been a favor of mine for some times now.
(DWSN) - Broken out of trading range with good volume.
(PRGS) - Up after reporting good earning with good volume on new 52-week high.

Monday Stocks to Watch

The market is trading relatively flat with an upside bias. It broke into new highs last Friday with higher trading volumes on all exchanges. The bull momentum is intact.

Stocks worth watching are:
(SMTX) - Broke thru the $5 mark after trading under $5 for couple weeks. More upside can be seen in the coming weeks.
(SNCR) - New highs on Apple's iPhone news?
(HDNG) - Broken out of the trading range with strong volume
(SYNL) - It broke up of trading range last Thursday. I would wait for the $44 mark to get back in if the opportunity arises.
(AAPL) - More battery time for the new iPhone, another week before launch

Stocks to Watch Thursday

The market is continuing its strong uptrend yesterday after the PPI is about the same as expected. Traders are hoping for good CPI to be announced tomorrow as well. Looks like the time to get back in is now. In order to make money in a bull market, buy the strong stocks, sell the non-perfomers. Buy higher and sell higher, or buy low and sell lower. Momentum is your friend.

Stocks worth looking at:
(BWLD) - stock split is coming next week
(TNH) - new high after several weeks of consolidation
(LPHI) - Double volumes on earning date
(CLRK) - Almost new high after announced contract
(SMTX) - will break $5 soon. Mentioned several times before.

Stocks to Watch Tuesday

The market is trading lower. It tried to recover several times, but they failed. The market is in trend with 10 year bond. If the yield is going higher, it is not good for the market.
Stay put, and wait for confirmation before jumping back in. Watch for leading stocks for trends. They usually provide hints on strong the market will be in the future.

Monday Stocks to Watch

The market is trading slightly higher after a see-saw battle between the bulls and bears. Volume has been lacking for today's trades. I would like to see more upside volumes before the recent bottom can be called.

Stocks worth watching are:
(CROX) - up on strong volume, a favor of mine and Cramer. A new 52-week high. I would tipped toe a bit with this stock. It is in a very strong uptrend.
(FCSX) - Big rise without any news.
(SNCR) - Benefactor from iPhone? Take a look of the chart. It is very strong. It is in the merging ip services.
(UEIC) - Up on upgrade. Maybe somebody knows something we don't.

Cheap Stock With Great Strength

Cheap stock with great fundamental and good relative strength are hard to come by. The stock, SMTC CORP (NasdaqGM:SMTX), is a good example of it.

According to Yahoo finance in verbatim form: SMTC Corporation provides integrated electronics manufacturing services. The company offers various supply chain services, including product design, procurement, prototyping, advanced cable and harness interconnect, high-precision enclosures, printed circuit board assembly, test, final system build, supply chain management, packaging, global distribution, and after sales support. It also provides enclosure and precision metal fabrication, cable assembly, interconnect, and engineering design services. SMTC Corporation offers its services to original equipment manufacturers and technology companies primarily in industrial, computing and networking, and communications markets worldwide.

The stock had two great pops when it announced quarterly earnings in mid March and mid May. In its latest quarter report, here its highlights:

- Growth in first quarter revenue to $69.5 million, a 16% increase over first quarter 2006.

- Growth led by diversified customer base of both long-standing and new customers.

- Net income of $2.8 million or $0.19 per share for the first quarter of 2007, approximately three times net income reported in the first quarter 2006. Net income in the first quarter of 2007 includes a one-time non-cash income tax recovery of $1.5 million.

- Operating earnings of $2.9 million representing a 35% increase over
the comparable period last year

- EBITDA(x) of $4.2 million in the quarter, representing a 28% increase over the first quarter of 2006.

- Generated cash flow of $4.0 million used primarily to reduce debt

The stock's PE is just above 5. Volume has picked tremendously lately. It is worth a look.
