Monday's Afternoon Stocks to Watch

The market is trading higher again today. The DOW is attacking the new high barrier of 12000. The Empire State's prices paid index announced this morning slipped to 30.8 from 41, suggesting little inflationary pressure. That is good news to traders. Data on wholesale and retail inflation will be released Tuesday and Wednesday. These set of data will hopefully further re-ensure the traders that inflation is under control.

Volume is slower than the typical days on both exchanges. The Nasdaq is attempting to break the old 52-week high with a striking distance. Most of the tech related stocks are up today.
