Tuesday's Afternoon Stocks to Watch

The market is trading down across all exchanges. The good news for the market is price of oil is still below $60. Volumes on Nasdaq and NYSE are on track to be higher than Monday. Former stock leaders are falling hard after reporting earning last night or this morning. Examples are: (NGPS), (TNL), and (BIDU) - to be reported earning after close. (BIDU) can be a market mover (up or down strongly) after close. A nice candidate for option trading on this stock.

I guess the trend is not to chase strong leaders right now. Pick the stocks that are just broke out of the base only, not the over-bought stocks.

Monday After Hour Reviews

I had some trouble blogging today due to the server problem today. Anyway the market losed mixed today. The tech heavy Nasdaq made another new high today. The DOW closed slightly down. The uptrend is still intact. Stick with the strong stocks. Avoid buying stocks before earning or you can get crushed along the way. (NGPS) and (DIVX) are prime examples of buying before earning stocks to be avoided.

What is ahead next week for stocks

The market closed down Friday. For the week, all indexes are up and broke the fresh 52-week highes. The weakness came mostly from the semicoductor and PC related stocks. Overall the market is still healthy. I would wait and see how the market continues its strength in the following week before putting more positions into the area of strength.

Thursday's Afternoon Stocks to Watch

The market is trading higher today in the afternoon. The DOW had another all time high. The Nasdaq market is making a fresh new 52-week high as well to follow the leadership of the DOW. The market is definitely in a very strong uptrend now. S&P 500 also made the 52-week high. The trading volume is on-track to be higher than normal. A very good sign for the bulls.

I would look for buying opportunities right now. Pick the strong stocks like (GOOG), (RIMM), and dump stocks like (NETL). When the trend is strong to the upside, pick the leaders, not laggers. (MSFT) will announce earning after close tonight. It looks to be good from the chart.
