Friday's Stocks to Watch

The stock markets are trading lower at 2:00pm EST. The market initially went up in the morning, then the strength faded away in the afternoon. Perhaps it is due to the fact that weekend is coming and such a big move in the past few sessions. All indexes went into new highs, traders wanted to take a breath for now. The up momentum is still intact. I would use any mild pullback as buying opportunities.

Friday's Pre-Market

The market looks like it will open slightly flat to slightly lower today. At 8:30am EST, the US government announced that Feb. Personal Income and Spending rose 0.3% and 0.1% respectively, about in-line with the 0.4% and 0.0% consensus estimates. The price of oil has given back 1.2% trading at $66.31 per barrel. Because of the weekend is coming, traders may have less incentive to hold positions over the weekend in case anything big happens in the Geopolitical arena.

Thursday's Stocks to Watch

With the exception of the DOW (30 biggest stocks), the stock markets are trading slightly lower at 2:00pm EST. The market initially popped in the morning, then the strength faded away in the afternoon. Most of the DOW stocks are down, except (GE). Tech heavy Nasdaq is still holding on the flat line. Today is the day for fund managers to re-shuffle stocks to window dress their profolios. That translates winners will be going higher, losers will be going lower. I believe there are more upsides coming in the following weeks.

The market looks like it will open slightly higher today with the continuation of the dramatic bull run yesterday. Q4 US GDP grew 1.7% meeting estimate. Last week's Initial Claims report has also been released. Claims were 302,000, slightly below the 305,000 that the market anticipated. (GOOG) is looking down this morning after it is releasing more stocks to the market. If the market can follow thru yesterday's rally, more money will be pouring into the market in the coming weeks. Buy! Buy! Buy!

Wednesday's Stocks to Watch

The stock markets are trading higher at 2:30pm EST. Unlike yesterday, it opened higher and stay strong with more than 1.5% gain on the tech heavy Nasdaq. Volume has picked up more steam as the afternoon bull momentum has gathered. This is the classic bull run if we can have another higher volume up day tomorrow. Notable winners are (DXPE), (SLAB), and (CSGP), as well as the ones mentioned on the Stocks Up List. Picking up winners in the environment can really make you a lot of money.

Wednesday's Pre-Market

The market looks like it will open slightly higher today after yesterday's FOMC meeting sell-off. Fortunately the sell-off is relatively minor. I believe the biggest fear right now is the price of oil is more than the rate hike in the coming months. The Department of Energy will release its weekly inventory report at 10:30AM EST. With the price of oil futures closing over $66 per barrel yesterday, the data is likely to be an important factor to many traders. The markets also await tomorrow's final reading on Q4 GDP.

What is Ahead for Next Week?

The stock market closed modestlyhigher on Friday, but all exchanges closed slight lower for the week. The big news for the week were:
1. (MSFT) is delaying the release of the new Windows Operating System which can cause delay of PC buying at Chrsitmas time.
2. Google (GOOG) is to be added to S&P 500 on March 31.
3. (LU) and (ALA) are merging.

We have to watch how the market will react to the FED meeting next Tuesday. I would place any bet ahead of the FED meeting.

Friday's Stocks to Watch

The stock markets are trading lower at 2:00pm EST. Again the stock market had a see-saw battle all day long. It went up in mid-morning after the slow new home sale number announced by the US government. It went down off its intraday high in the afternoon. The price of oil seems to be consistently above $60 for the past few weeks. The fear of inflation with the FED meeting is still on many traders' mind. Just hold off the buying until the picture is clear.

Thursday's Stocks to Watch

The stock markets are trading lower at 2:10pm EST. The stock market had a see-saw battle all day long. It opened lower after the Adobe (ADBE) earning report last night. Then it recovered to gain, but after the housing start number came out this morning, it went south again. It was yo-yoing without decisive movement in either direction. Volume has slowed a bit today. Althought the market recovered yesterday, but it was at a slower trading pace than normal or the previous day. I believe the market still has legs to the upside. Until then happy trading.

Interesting Stock Tips

I found this Stocks Tips video is quite amusing.

Thursday's Pre-market

The market looks like it will open lower today. The Department of Labor released the Initial Claims at 8:30 AM EST this morning, it checked in at 302K, down from the prior week's upwardly revised 313K vs. the expected a reading of 305K. (ADBE) announced disappointed earning this morning. This stock may have some influence on the tech heavy Nasdaq market. One nice thing I saw yesterday was the market was able to shrug off the Microsoft (MSFT) delay of the OS news, and it came back strong at the close. The market is ready to be taken off again until something very bad to come out, I would expect more upsides to come.

Wednesday's Stocks to Watch

The stock markets are trading higher at 2:20pm EST. It was down at the open for the tech heavy Nasdaq market after the delay announcement of the Windows Operating System by Microsoft (MSFT). Then Nasdaq shrugged off the bad news and went higher in the afternoon. With the price of oil dropping, I believe this market has more legs to the upside if price of oil is remain to be lower than $60 per barrel. (NOIZ) has been featured for the past few sessions, this is the leader in the making. Put it on your stocks to be watched list.

Tuesday's Stocks to Watch

The stock markets are trading higher at 2:10pm EST. It has been a see-saw battle between the bear and bull all day long. February PPI fell by a larger-than-expected 1.4%. It was forecasted to have a 0.2% decline. It was the biggest drop in wholesale PPI in almost three years. However, core PPI (excludes food and energy), rose 0.3% worse than the estimate of 0.1%. Stocks fell initially at the open, but it recovered and push the break-even point. I believe the market is waiting for any kind of good news to march higher.

Tuesday's Pre-market

The market looks like it will open lower today. Fed Chairman Bernanke's speech to the Economic Club of New York last night is the main talk on the street this morning. The rate hike next week fear still remains on traders' minds. Before the speech, there had been some false hope that he would take the second rate increase off the table, but he failed mention a bit on the meeting as being off the table. On a related issue, February PPI report is coming out at 8:30 ET. This will indication of inflationary pressure. Since I will busy the whole morning, so I can't really wait until the PPI number to come out.

Tuesday's Stocks to Watch

The market is trading higher at 2:10 pm EST. It reversed from the low of the day and went higher in the afternoon. Volume has picked up more than yesterday's volume. The market initially went down because of the weak retail sale. But after the interpretation of the data, traders think the fear of the inflation has slowed because of the weakness in retail sale. On top of it, (GS) reported better than expected earning.
As expected (ADAM) went down big today after earning. It is very unsafe to buy lately before the earning announcement.

Wednesday's Stocks to Watch

The market is trading higher at 2:30 pm EST. It has recovered and more from the opening bell's weakness. It was down as low as 20 points on the Nasdaq. If the market can stay above the positie line from here until the close, it would be very positive for the market. Probably the biggest contributor for today's reversal is the price of oil dropped below $60 again today. $60 is mental number for the traders.

U.S. Patent No. 7,003,571 acknowledges TCS' originality in optimizing communications over non-IP networks to save bandwidth by using a connectionless send and receive mechanism. This invention eliminates the high bandwidth requirements inherently associated with HTTP communications for wireless connection to the Internet, enabling more users to have fast access to the Web. Additional performance enhancements are achieved from the connectionless environment through the use of message segmentation and reassembly, message retries, and message acknowledgements.

What is Ahead for Next Week?

The stock market closed lower on Friday, but all exchanges closed higher for the week. We saw the yo-yo effect from Google (GOOG), the $60 swing from the lowest to the highest. The news of Intel (INTC) did not dampered the enthusium of the market. If we can break out of the trading ranges, it would be good for the market. Today, we saw the cheap stocks of the former telecom and fiber optics leaders are back into new higher now. This maybe the end of the droughts for these companies. Friday Stocks To Watch

The market is trading higher at 2:40 pm EST. No major news from the government front. Intel (INTC) was the biggest dragger on the Nasdaq market this morning, but Nasdaq has recovered all the loses from this morning. Many traders just ignore the big cap name like (INTC) as it has done in the past. The underlining strength of the market is there. If Nasdaq can break the recent highs, it would be bullish.

Friday's Pre-market

The market looks like it will open slightly lower today. The weakness is due to the oversea market drops last night. The Nikkei dropped 1.6% overnight, because of the 0.5% rise in Japan's core consumer price index. Fear of more rate hikes by Japan are coming which can cause slow down to the world economy. Also price of oil is rising again this morning.

(BWNG) is the stock mentioned favoriable by Cramer after close yesterday. It is called the Cramer effect stock.

Thursday Stocks to Watch

The market is trading lower at 1:45 pm EST. But it has recovered from its worst level this monring. Like I have mentioned this morning, I am not surprise to see the market is going down today after yesterday's big run. (GOOG) is also a big mover today after it announced that it will a $100 billion revenue company. The funny part is, its market cap is already over $111 as of now. Another surprise is Cisco (CSCO) the former stock market leader is making 52-week high today.

Thursday's Pre-market

The market looks like it will open slightly lower today after yesterday's big gain. I would be surprise of the market trading down today because of the recent trading patterns. Major news for the day is: weekly jobless claims rose 15K to 294K vs. estimate of 285K, but it is still below the 300K level for a seventh straight week and an indication of strong labor market conditions. Many traders on eyeing on Google (GOOG) today of the analyst meeting, it disappointed last earning as well as Tuesday's interview with CNBC. So watch out for (GOOG) for big swing today.

The biggest point loser today is (NSTK) after Merck (MRK) terminated its collaboration agreement with the company. Biotech stocks are very risky, much higher percentage of them like (NSTK) failed then succeeding like (AMGN). That is why I do not play them unless I know they have lucretive drugs or technologies.

Wednesday's Stocks to Watch

The market is trading a lot higher at 2:10 pm EST. What a difference made between today and yesterday. The pentulum swings back the same amount of lost as gain today. Google (GOOG) was to be the blame yesterday. There is no major news accounted for the gain today. The market has been in big swings in recent trading sessions. I would not surprise to see another swing down in the coming days.

My cheap stock (PNS) is breaking to the upside again. It was $3.45 last Thursday on my alert. It is now $4.14. Not a bad gain in 4 trading sessions. It had some big swing like the market. If it comes down and holds its support, I will buy more.

Wednesday's Pre-market

The market looks like it will open slightly higher today recovering from yesterday's selloff. Major news for the day are: US Personal Income increase of 0.7% and Spending increase of 0.9%. Americans still spend more than they take in. Both numbers are inline with expectations. The next news are the construction spending and ISM Index release at 10:30am EST. The ISM index can be a big mover for the market.
