Friday's Pre-Market

The market looks like it will open mixed today. The market dropped a bit lower after the much better than expected Durable Orders report, it rose 2.6% versus the 1.3% consensus estimate last month. Added to the bull flame are Google (GOOG) to be added to S&P 500 on March 31, Palm (PALM) reported better than expected earning and issued upside guidance. There is possible M&A activity, Lucent (LU) and Alcatel (ALA) have confirmed that they are in discussion to merge.
