The market is down slightly in the afternoon. It recovered most of the loses this morning after the Labor Department announced productivity was flat in the third quarter while wages rose nearly 4 percent, touching off concerns that the Federal Reserve will continue to wrestle with inflation. The latest scare for the market will be inflation containment not slowing of the US economy now. More bad news coming soon?
